Postdoctoral Researcher: Institute for Jewish Studies and Religious Studies, University of Potsdam. Research focus: The Millî Görüş movement in Germany - ideological and discursive changes from the 1970s until today.

Ph.D. in History/Middle Eastern Studies, Tel Aviv University. Dissertation topic: The Millî Görüş view of "the West" (1973-1995).

June - August 2016

Research on Jewish-Muslim relations in Azerbaijan. Research on the Jewish community in Baku. Focus on mixed Jewish-Muslim families, identity issues, religious fluidity, patterns of interethnic relations and historical narratives of the community under the USSR and in the post-Soviet Republic of Azerbaijan.

Research on interethnic relations in Acre. investigating the relationship between Jewish immigrants from the Caucasus and Arabs in Acre (a mixed city in northern Israel), focusing on the collective memory of inter-communal relations of Jews and Muslims in Azerbaijan and Dagestan.
