Comic exhibition “How are you?”
Cartoonists against anti-Semitism, hatred and racism

As part of the International Weeks against Racism, we are presenting the comic exhibition “How are you?” at the Intercultural Center. The works of 48 of the most important German-speaking comic artists are the result of the initiative “Wie geht es dir? Cartoonists against anti-Semitism, hatred and racism”. The artists want to overcome speechlessness in the face of the terrible suffering that people in the Middle East have been exposed to since the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, 2023 and the subsequent wars. They want to counteract the polarization in our society and invite dialogue.

The comics are based on interviews with people affected in different ways. The artistic form of the comics lends the interviews an impressive language that encourages reflection and exchange.

The exhibition is complemented by a varied accompanying program with initiators, comic workshops, debates and guided tours. Further information on the exhibition and the accompanying program will be available soon at www.iz-heidelberg.de. We look forward to seeing you!
